| A Purple Passion for Excellence
“To maximize student potential by providing a learning environment in which school and community support children in developing their individual abilities,” is the Mission Statement of the North Royalton City School District. The District has earned an “Excellent” rating on the Ohio Department of Education Report Card for eight consecutive years – this year the District was designated “Excellent with Distinction.”
There is a clear “Purple Passion for Excellence” throughout our school community. The North Royalton School District has received an “Excellent” (highest possible rating) on the Ohio Department of Education report card for eight consecutive years and this year received “Excellent with Distinction. Academic programs are designed to build and reinforce the mastery of basic skills, encourage higher-order thinking skills and to instill a love of lifelong learning. With a solid academic base developed at the elementary and middle school levels, students are well prepared to select either a challenging college preparatory and/or a comprehensive career preparatory program when they enter the high school. The high school also offers students the opportunity to take rigorous Advanced Placement courses. The district provides outstanding special education and related services for students with disabilities as well as vocational education via the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC).
The North Royalton School District currently serves more than 4,700 students from the cities of North Royalton and Broadview Heights. The school district is comprised of an Early Childhood Center (Pre-K through Kindergarten); three elementary schools (Grades 1 to 4), a middle school (Grades 5-8) and a high school (Grades 9 to 12).
Parents are encouraged to become actively involved in our schools. There is a PTA at all building levels and parents and residents serve in an advisory capacity to the administration through committees such as the Curriculum Advisory Council, Financial Advisory Council and Facilities Committee. Our Band Boosters and Athletic Boosters have raised thousands of dollars to support the athletic and music program as well as supporting our students every time they march out onto the field. In the North Royalton City School District we are dedicated to providing the education students need today to prepare them for the world of tomorrow. |

Cuyahoga Community College is committed to providing affordable and quality educational opportunities for students. Whether the plan is to start a bachelor’s degree or to seek a career change, Tri-C offers programs and courses close to home that enable students to jumpstart their future. By taking advantage of Tri-C credit courses, students can work toward an associate’s degree in numerous fields, such as Health Careers, or transfer to a four-year college or university. Students who take classes at Tri-C before transferring to another school discover they are able to achieve a bachelor’s degree seamlessly and for significantly less cost. Many courses leading to a bachelor’s degree are offered at Brunswick High School, as well as at the Western Campus in Parma. High school students can take classes at Tri-C and earn both high school and college credit through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program, at no cost to the student. For many students, this program can help them reduce tuition costs and provide a high-quality academic experience throughout high school. Tri-C works closely with area high school districts to provide students support they need to succeed. Tri-C also offers an Evening/Weekend degree program. Students can attend classes at their convenience and earn an associate’s degree in only two years. That degree positions students to move easily into a bachelor’s degree program in areas of liberal arts, sciences or business without missing a step.
Paired with accredited programs, experienced instructors, and real-world curriculum, the facility’s cutting edge technology allows Tri-C to educate and train students to meet the demands of the ever-changing needs of the health industry. Covering 25,000-square-feet, the new HTC includes four classrooms, six state-of-the-art laboratories and two human patient simulators in a clinical setting. The College worked with the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center architects to produce labs that have the look and feel of a real hospital. In addition, area hospitals and medical facilities donated several pieces of equipment for its labs. The human patient simulators, which respond to treatment and medication just as a human patient would, are valuable teaching tools for novice health care workers. In addition, the Western Campus now offers a degree in Medical Assisting—one of the fastest growing careers in Northeast Ohio. The program is designed for those interested in a new career, offering convenient evening classes. A new degree in Sport & Exercise Studies is also available.
